Mike Barbieri on the Issues...

"BUSINESS AS USUAL AND THE GOOD

THE LEADERSHIP AND DIRECTION
NECESSARY FOR THE 21ST CENTURY"

Now more than ever Delaware needs leadership that does not cater to
lobbyist and special interest groups but one who will fight for
change.  We need someone in office who is willing to take a stand on
difficult issues.  Action not words is important.  As A State
Representative I will fight to:

  • Work actively with community groups and County Police to
make our communities a safe and a positive place to raise
    our families
  • Work to make healthcare affordable to individuals and small
    businesses
  • Work with the school districts and Department of Education
to create an education process focused on the student
  • Fight to create an economic environment that will support
the development of both small and large employers to
    develop new jobs

I need your help with this fight for change.  A grass roots effort can
change a lobbyist control political process to one responsive to the
citizens."
The economic face of Delaware is changing.  We can no longer continue to do business as usual and allow special interests to control our political process.  I am running again in the 18th district because I
believe that we need someone in office who will not cater to a few but serve the interests of the community and the state.  There is a need for change and a clear vision for the future.  I will fight to:

  • Strengthen the economic environment through supporting existing businesses and working to develop an environment that supports new business development
  • Control Health Care Cost through supporting initiative already proposed but blocked
  • Strengthen our education system so that we can develop the employee base to support a growing economy

In 2006 I came close, needing only 300 votes to win.  This is a year of Change both at the National and Local Level.  I need your financial and personal support.  Shortly I will be calling you to ask for your
support, and to hear your thoughts on what is important for Delaware.
